I uninstalled my lexmark printer but am unable to remove the name from the Printers and Faxes dialog box:?

I uninstalled my lexmark printer but am unable to remove the name from the Printers and Faxes dialog box: I get the error message “the system cannot find the file specified”. Any suggestions how I can remove this from the fax and printer listing?
I have removed the Lexmark program but it still remains listed in the Add/Remove programs list and I can remove it from there either. Sys states it can find files (because I already removed them via the Add/Remove dialog box) The device mgr state the same.
I am using XP Professional svc pak 2
